General Gift Distribution
Gifts for all families that are not sponsored are packed by our volunteers. Packed General Distribution gifts that are to be picked up in Chippewa Falls are moved to Zion Methodist Church on West Elm Street in Chippewa Falls. The remainder are transported either to the Fire Station in Cadott, or the Fire Station in Stanley. All are distributed about 10 days before Christmas. (approximately 550 families in addition to the Sponsored Families). Students from McDonell High School load the packed Chippewa Falls gift bags into a truck and unload them at Zion Methodist Church. Chippewa Yellow Bus Co. has donated a bus and driver to transport the McDonell High School Students to and from our sites. Volunteers from the Cadott and Stanley Lions Clubs pick up the gifts packed for their respective sites and transport them to the Cadott and Stanley Fire Stations for distribution. SOC volunteers also carry out the distribution at these two satellite sites. Gift Donations may be dropped off at Central Lutheran Church, 28 East Columbia Street, Chippewa Falls during their normal weekday business hours. Monetary donations may be sent to Spirit of Christmas of Chippewa County, Inc., P.O. Box 831, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729.
