Gift Giving Trees

Merchants, banks, medical facilities, manufacturers, and commercial businesses throughout Chippewa County decorate Christmas trees with tags reflecting gift requests for applicants.
Employees and customers purchase items and return to the gift tree site, where they are collected by the Spirit of Christmas (SOC) volunteers. ​

Sponsor a Family

Our Sponsored Families Program allows a family, club, business, individual, church, or other entity to sponsor a family, or families, by buying gifts for all members of that family.  

SOC provides the sponsoring family with an identification number corresponding with the gift wishes of each family member they wish to sponsor.  The unique number for the family provides anonymity for the families.  The sponsors purchase these gifts (SOC recommends $150.00 value per person).

Volunteer

These activities may include: 

• Knitting, crocheting or sewing caps, mittens, scarves, blankets or lap robe
• Packing gifts for families requesting help from the donations received
• Assist in picking up donated gifts
• Assist with gift distribution
• Serve on committees
