Spirit of Christmas is dedicated to making the Christmas season brighter for children through age 17 years. Children are our top priority with adults being taken care of as money and donations allow. Gift wishes are fulfilled depending on the availability of the items.
About Us
Spirit of Christmas of Chippewa County, WI Inc. is a non-profit, tax-exempt, all-volunteer organization.
Spirit of Christmas (SOC) was formed in 1988 at the request of the Chippewa Falls Clergy Association who saw a real need in the community and sought to coordinate the Christmas-time efforts of individual churches to aid less fortunate families.
In January 1996, Spirit of Christmas became Spirit of Christmas of Chippewa County, WI Inc. and became the non-profit, tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization it is today. All donations are tax deductible as provided by law.
The SOC serves families and individuals residing in Chippewa County with a primary focus on children through age 17. Gift wishes are filled to the best of our ability and distributed to the families prior to Christmas.
The gifts provided are the result of the generous donations of many individuals, businesses and organizations throughout the Chippewa Valley. These donations, whether time, gifts or money are greatly appreciated. Monetary donations are used to supplement gift donations and fulfill specific needs and/or unusual wishes.
Spirit of Christmas is staffed by volunteers with no paid staff and no permanent office. All duties and operations have been done in donated space for packing and storing donated gifts.
Spirit of Christmas is not affiliated with any other organization and fulfills the Christmas wishes of approximately 1,500 children annually. For more information call Spirit of Christmas headquarters at 715-944-4272, October through December.
